# Cancellation Policy & Refund Rules for LeibTour Stays
> Understand LeibTour's three cancellation fare types — Non-Refundable, Semi-Flexible, and Fully Flexible — before you book your Ibiza stay.
Every LeibTour booking comes with one of three cancellation policies, and the one that applies to your reservation is displayed clearly before you confirm payment. Reading the cancellation terms before you book is one of the most important steps in planning your trip — this guide explains exactly what each policy means and what happens if your plans change.
## The Three Cancellation Fare Types

Always check which fare type applies to your specific booking before you confirm. The policy is shown on the property listing and at the payment screen. Once confirmed, the stated policy governs any future cancellation — no exceptions.

## Non-Refundable (NRF)
The Non-Refundable rate is LeibTour's lowest-priced option. You pay less upfront in exchange for giving up the right to a refund if you need to cancel.
**What this means in plain language:** If you cancel for any reason — including illness, an accident, a missed flight, a family emergency, or a travel disruption — you will not receive a refund. There are no exceptions.
The NRF rate makes sense if:
* You are confident your travel plans will not change
* You are booking within a few days of your trip (little time for plans to shift)
* You have travel insurance that covers trip cancellation independently
* The price difference versus a flexible rate is meaningful to you
If there is **any** uncertainty about your travel dates, a flexible rate is the safer choice.

## Semi-Flexible
The Semi-Flexible rate gives you a partial refund if you cancel outside a defined window before check-in. The exact window (30, 15, 7, or 3 days) depends on the specific property — it will be clearly stated on the listing.
**How the refund works:** If you cancel before the stated deadline, you receive up to **70%** of the accommodation cost back. If you cancel inside that window — even by one day — no refund is issued.
Suppose your booking has a 15-day Semi-Flexible policy and your accommodation costs €500:
* Cancel **16 or more days** before check-in → receive up to **€350 back** (70%)
* Cancel **14 days or fewer** before check-in → **no refund**
The specific window for your booking will be listed in your confirmation email and on the property detail page.

## Fully Flexible
The Fully Flexible rate gives you the most protection. You can cancel at any time up to **3 days before check-in** and receive a **full refund** of your accommodation cost.
**What happens within 3 days?** If you cancel less than 3 days before check-in, no refund is issued — regardless of your reason for cancelling.
If your travel dates are uncertain or you're booking well in advance (holiday seasons, long stays), the Fully Flexible rate is the most peace-of-mind option. The price difference compared to NRF is often modest relative to the protection it gives you.

## What Happens to the Cleaning Fee?
The cleaning fee (typically **€30 + IVA**, set by the host) is a one-time charge per stay. In the event of a cancellation, whether or not the cleaning fee is refunded depends on the fare type and timing of your cancellation — check the specific terms on your booking confirmation. The cleaning fee is separate from the accommodation price and is always itemised before you confirm.

## Group Bookings
Group bookings are subject to **separate cancellation terms** that differ from the standard policies above. If you are booking for a group, contact the LeibTour team directly before confirming to understand the applicable cancellation conditions for your reservation.

## How to Cancel Your Booking
Go to [leibtour.com](https://leibtour.com) and sign in to access your booking dashboard.
Find the relevant reservation under 'My Bookings' and open the booking detail page.
Use the cancellation option on the booking page, or contact the LeibTour support team directly via live chat if you need assistance.
You will receive a confirmation email. If a refund applies under your fare type, it will be processed according to the timeline stated in the confirmation.

## Modifications and Date Changes
Changing your booking details after confirmation is subject to modification fees. These are separate from cancellation and apply even if you are adjusting — not cancelling — your stay.

## Charges Never Included in Your Room Rate
The following charge is always separate from your accommodation price, regardless of cancellation policy:
* **Tourism tax (Impost de Turisme Sostenible)** — a mandatory regional government charge paid directly to the property at check-in. It is **not** collected by LeibTour and does not appear in your online payment.
This charge is not refundable through LeibTour as it is a government-mandated fee collected by the property.

**Review your cancellation policy before you book.** It is clearly displayed on the property listing page and again at the payment confirmation screen. Once your booking is confirmed, the policy shown at that time is binding — it cannot be upgraded or changed retroactively.
